ABOUT MACDOUGAL STREET
After years of trying to get in the lineup at the world famous Comedy Cellar, Kenny is still trying to make it big in the New York comedy scene. He finally gets a break with an opportunity to manage a bar-turned-comedy-club, on MacDougal Street. Things are pretty rough with small crowds and constant pressure from the owner to fill the club, but with the help of a scrappy crew, he’s determined to make a name for himself and prove that he can run the club.

Kenny Warren hails from Portland, Oregon. Stand-up comedian, show producer, entrepreneur, barber, and single father. There is nothing average about the self-coined “Averageblackman”.
Kenny Warren’s original brand, “DSC" (Different Shades of Comedy) encompasses comic book styled super hero, “Just Us League” T-shirts. Mr. Warren provides stage time for NYC’s best and brightest up and coming comedians, most featured on MTV, Comedy Central and your favorite Late Night talk shows, by producing four weekly comedy shows, and two monthly shows. His perseverance and work ethic has established him as a trail blazer in the New York City comedy scene.
KWASI OSEI
(DIRECTOR/WRITER)
Kwasi Osei is a storyteller with many years of experience working as a hybrid creative. Originally from Denmark, he received a BFA from School of Visual Arts in New York, and is currently working as a creative director at KO Media.
He has developed both print and video campaigns before pursuing a career behind and in front of the camera. He is a member of Scandinavian American Theater Company, and has appeared in Bastards of Strindberg and Then Silence at Theatre Row, as well as starred in projects directed by Oscar winner Sofia Coppola and BAFTA winner Joe Wright. Directing credits include Thinking Time by Liv Heløe and Sandholm by Anna Bro.
